The Cottages
The Cottages at Thorp House Inn have a charm and following all of their own. They are just what you had in mind... cozy and private... nestled in the pines... close to the beach... in the heart of the village. Walk to shops, restaurants, Peninsula State Park and much more. They're even available in Winter!
Amenities
Each cottage is decorated in country antiques and has its own unique character. Most have fireplaces and some have whirlpools. Each has a living room with Cable TV and VCR/DVD. All have kitchenettes equipped with: range, refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, dishes, cookware and utensils. Additional amenities include: all bed linens, hair dryers, electric and gas heat, window air conditioning unit and wireless hi-speed Internet. All the cottages have a patio or deck with outdoor seating and a grill.
Firewood
In an effort to be more environmentally responsible, we have switched to the burning of manufactured "firelogs" which can be purchased from the innkeeper at a nominal fee. Each "firelog" burns for over three hours. Should you desire to burn real wood, it can be purchased locally in small pre-packed bundles. Due to infestation of local trees by non-indigenous insects, it is unlawful to bring firewood to Door County from other areas.
Breakfast
We regret that our facility and licensing allows us to serve breakfast only to guests staying in the Inn, but you will be within walking distance to several restaurants and a grocery.
Towels
Guests are required to provide their own towels, including kitchen towels.
Housekeeping
Cottages do not come with daily maid service. On rentals of more than one week, housekeeping is provided at the end of each week.
