We love our guests so much, we decided to make room for more!

After celebrating our first year of owning Thorp House Inn & Cottages with the final Progressive Dinner Weekend, we began final preparations to renovate a room and bathroom in the inn to create a new inn room. Lillian will be our newest inn room and will boast a completely remodeled and new bathroom. Lillian is a smaller room, so we are going to comfortably fit a double XL bed along with other refinements. Lillian will be priced as our new ‘entry-level’ room and should be ready to book by April 1, just in time for the busy season. Keep up on the renovations on our Facebook page.

Valentine’s Day is literally right around the corner and we are offering a special package included in the price of the room. Inn guests will receive a complimentary bottle of champagne, romantic flowers, and Door County Chocolate Covered Cherries. We will also serve cranberry mimosas during our breakfast service.

We recently played little musical beds at the inn. We finally placed our first king bed on the property in Everil, which is our largest and most private room. We then moved the queen in Everil to Dove Cottage, and Dove’s queen to replace the double bed in Teal Cottage. Now Teal is the only cottage that boasts 2 queen beds! Perfect for a couple’s getaway. We also upgraded our queen mattress in Quail and the double mattress in Lark. Whew!

We are also planning on upgrading our guest refreshment area to make it more inviting and functional. This should be completed by the summer season.

So much going on during this off-season and don’t forget we are still in the middle of our winter special pricing. Guests can take advantage of this pricing through April to enjoy all things Door County in the winter.

Finally, the busy summer season is almost here and for anyone who knows Door County in the summer–they know to book early. Our summer is filling up briskly, so if you are planning or wanting to plan your summer vacation or getaway in Door County–book soon.

See you soon!

Best,
